Did you know?
In kabaddi, the raider keeps saying 'kabaddi, kabaddi' while trying to tag players.
In kho-kho, players sit in a line. They face opposite ways, one after another.
Lagori is also called pittu or seven stones. You need a ball and a pile of flat stones.
Try this: Chalk Hopscotch
Draw eight boxes with chalk on a safe, flat floor, away from traffic. Number them 1 to 8. Throw a small stone into box 1. Hop over that box and through all the others. Hop back and pick up the stone on the way. Then throw it into box 2!
Go further: Ask a Grandparent
Children all over the world love outdoor games. Hopscotch is played in many countries. In Hindi, it is called stapu. Tag and chasing games are everywhere too. Ask a grandparent which outdoor games they played as children. Learn one new game from them. Then teach it to your friends!
