A World Tour
World on My Plate
Pizza, noodles and chocolate come from different parts of the world. Let's take a yummy trip around the world on a plate!
Did you know?
Potatoes and tomatoes first grew in far-away South America. Now they are in our sabzi every day!
Chocolate is made from cocoa beans. The beans grow inside big pods on a tree.
A Margherita pizza is red, white and green, like Italy's flag! It has tomato, cheese and basil.
Try this: My World Plate
Draw a big plate on paper. Fill it with foods from different countries, like noodles, pizza, idli and pasta. Ask a grown-up to help you write each food's country. Which country's food would you like to try next?

Astronauts eat in space too! Bread makes crumbs, and crumbs float around. They can get into machines. So astronauts often eat tortillas instead. A tortilla is a flat bread, a bit like a roti. Drinks come in pouches. Astronauts sip them through straws. Then the drinks do not float away as wobbly bubbles!
